Get Over Yourself
s we approach Palm Sunday and Easter, we're invited to reflect on the profound significance of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. The story in John 12 challenges us to examine our own hearts and motives in how we approach Christ. Are we like the crowd, seeking a spectacle? Or the religious leaders, clinging to our traditions and expectations? The message urges us to let go of our preconceived notions and truly embrace Jesus for who He is - not just a teacher or miracle worker, but the Son of God who came to die for us. We're reminded that true worship often means pouring out everything we have, like Mary with her expensive perfume. This Palm Sunday, let's consider: are we willing to lay down our pride, our agendas, and our lives before Jesus? Are we ready to follow Him, even when it doesn't make sense to our human understanding? As we prepare our hearts for Easter, may we seek to worship in spirit and in truth, recognizing Jesus as our King and Lord.
